Justin Wickersham - Managing Director

Justin Wickersham is a Chartered Town Planner, having qualified as a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in April 1995 following graduation with an honours degree in Town and Regional Planning. He has acted in a professional capacity in both private and public sectors for over 20 years and has been trained by English Heritage to become a Conservation Area Officer for the London Borough of Brent Planning Service, in 1996. Justin Wickersham is an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.

Justin is a highly respected member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and recently was recognised at the national RTPI Planning Awards. He is the Winner of the RTPI Planning Consultant of the Year Award 2011, having shown an exemplary approach to engaging within the planning process.

Simon Chapman - Planning Director

Simon Chapman is a Chartered Town Planner, having qualified as a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in October 1997. Simon obtained a BA (Hons) in Town and Country Planning and Bachelor of Planning, both from the University of Manchester. Having started his planning career in the planning department of a London Borough, he moved into the private sector 15 years ago, where he utilises his comprehensive range of skills in securing, managing and delivering a range of development projects on behalf of clients.

Simon has been involved in a number of complex planning applications, in which he has instructed and managed the input of a range of consultants in order to deliver the planning application. In addition, he has extensive experience in devising, delivering and reporting on community engagement. Simon has acted as an expert witness, in which he has prepared and given evidence at planning appeals, CPO and enforcement inquiries and Local Plan Examinations.

Claudia Dietz - Senior Planning and Development Consultant

Claudia Dietz is a Chartered Town Planner, having qualified as a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Claudia obtained her Masters degree in Town Planning in 2009 from the Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford and holds a Diploma degree in Geography, Sociology and Environmental & Planning Law, obtained in her home country Germany.

Claudia has acted in a professional capacity in both public and private sectors for over 10 years focussing primarily on residential development, ranging from domestic schemes to large-scale development proposals.

Anna Holloway - Senior Planning and Development Consultant

Anna Holloway is a Chartered Town Planner, having qualified as a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Anna obtained her Masters degree with Merit in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University in 2006 and also holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology and Geography from The University of Birmingham.

Anna has acted in a professional capacity since 2006 dealing with a wide range of proposals from domestic schemes, residential developments, town centre and out of town retail and commercial developments, to large-scale mixed use town centre development proposals.

Sarah Greenish - Planning and Development Consultant

Sarah Greenish graduated from the University of the West of England in 2008 with a Bachelor of Laws. Sarah joined Optimis as a trainee Town Planner in 2013 and has built up a strong reputation for achieving success for householders by working closely with clients and planning officers.

Sarah's expertise is in Development Certificates, Class Q Prior Notification as well as householder applications. Sarah is currently studying a Masters in Rural and Urban Planning.

Dominic Bryant - Assistant Development Manager

Dominic studied Geography at the University of Nottingham, taking extra modules in Physics and Maths. Following a period as an Event Manager, Dominic joined Optimis as a trainee Development Agent in early 2016 drawing on his geographical background.

Dominic is involved in both the disposal and acquisition of land for development; disposing of land on behalf of landowners, and identifying and acquiring sites on behalf of developers.

Fiona Baillie - Marketing Manager

Fiona Baillie has studied with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and brings over 14 years of marketing experience. Most recently she has spent around 10 years working for a leading global professional services company in charge of the marketing in one of their regional offices.

Since joining Optimis predominately in a marketing and client relationship role Fiona has become a point of contact for clients and consultants. Fiona is responsible for the organisation and running of various events including being the main person to contact in relation to our Developer Group meetings.

Jenni Thomas - Office and Business Manager

Dr Jenni Thomas completed her PHD in History at the University of London in 2009. Since then Jenni has worked in the heritage and university sectors including the Natural History Museum and British Museum and published articles on a range of heritage-related subjects. Most recently she was Project Director at The Rothschild Archive, London.

Jenni is responsible for the day to day running of the office and supports the team and business in a varied capacity.
