Housing Minister: Community Infrastructure Levy is stalling developments

In a recent article published in Property Weekly, Housing minister, Brandon Lewis, has criticised the Community Infrastructure Levy, saying is making residential schemes unviable for some developers. With the government planning to deliver 200,000 starter homes but 2020, thw current structure of the CIL is under scrutiny.

The bill had its second reading in parliament last week and is now in the committee stage, to be concluded on 10 December.
