Jon Goodall Awarded Chartered Town Planner Status by RTPI

Optimis is very proud to announce that Jon Goodall has been elected as a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

Jon is employed by Optimis as a Town Planning and Development Consultant and whilst previously a Licentiate Member of the RTPI has been actively working hard towards Chartership.

Completing the Assessment of Professional Competence requires candidates to demonstrate their knowledge and competencies in key areas such as information gathering and the legal and political frameworks governing planning and development.

Jon has drawn extensively on work undertaken at Optimis including the successful negotiation of planning obligations and securing planning permission for sites.

Jon’s previous experience in developing up-to-date and adopted planning policy for Local Authorities in West Northamptonshire was also identified and given weight by the assessors.

Chartered Town Planners must adhere to a code of conduct that specifies standards of professional ethics and recognises the high standard of skills and experience that they must hold and demonstrate when advising on planning matters.
