Optimis sparkles at Jack Moody’s Charity Ball

Glitz and glamour was the order of the night when a few members of the Optimis team were invited by Bovis Homes to attend a charity ball sponsored by Jack Moody Group and Hollybush.

The evening involved a live charity auction and raffle and Optimis managed to come away with a signed Vamp’s album and two DAF coats – perfect for those site visits! All the proceeds from the evening went to Midlands Air Ambulance and the Tim Porter Charitable Trust.

The story of Jack Moody is an inspirational one. A groundman’s son, tired of his work in the wood mills he invested in a rake, a fork and shovel and fastened the tools of his trade to his bicycle and pedaled off around the West Midlands to set up is own landscape construction business.

Now 50 years on, Jack Moody Holding Plc is a family business and includes one of the UK’s largest independent garden centres, Hollybush Garden Centre, as well as the country’s leading purpose-build recycling facility and industry renowned Jack Moody Landscapes Limited. Last year saw the completion of the popular Hollybush Garden Centre development which now houses new shops, a coffee shop and restaurant.
