Optimis to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for charity

There is an old adage of if you can ‘talk the talk’  then you must ‘walk the walk’ – so that is what Optimis is going to do!!

Writing appeal statements, discussing projects with parish Councils, debating viability with Council planners will seem a breeze compared to this, but our time has come, we are raring to go and we will face the challenge with our full competitive and committed attitude.  Phillippa and Justin will complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in mid-May.  This is a 24 mile walk over three of the highest peaks in the Peak District and our aim is to complete the challenge in 12 hours!!!

The purpose of the challenge, other than to physically test Optimis’ Directors, is to raise funds for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.  The Air Ambulance rely on charitable donations to provide a much needed emergency service, from attendance at road traffic accidents to transfer of patients across the country.  They are a highly skilled and undervalued emergency service and although we hope to never need their services; we are proud to raise funds to assist in their wonderful service.
