Planning Permission Granted for 58 Dwellings

Optimis is delighted to have secured planning permission, on behalf of Bovis Homes, for a residential scheme of 58 dwellings on land at Hall End Road, forming part of an allocated site for residential and educational use.  The application granted at committee on 23rd March 2015 is subject to a Section 106 agreement.

We engaged extensively with the community and statutory bodies with stakeholders such as Upper School, Parish Council, Local Ward Members, Council and public consultation events took place.  As a result we were able to achieve a layout, design and form of development that meets the needs of the community and responded positively to concerns raised by residents.

The proposals do bring a considerable amount of benefit to the community: not only providing additional housing that is needed in the Borough, including affordable homes, but also enabling the delivery of additional land for education purposes to allow for future expansion of the Upper School facilities. The proposals will provide essential improvements to infrastructure in the immediate vicinity of the site including a crossing point for the Upper school and a safe route to school through the development from the centre of the village.
