Retrospective planning consent granted for alterations to Grade II listed building at Hyde Mill

Optimis is delighted that retrospective planning and listed building consent applications for the retention of two additional B&B /holiday let units, retention of a storage/laundry room and 3 new windows have been approved.

Optimis engaged intensively with the Case Officer and the Conservation Officer at St Albans City & District Council and Historic England, and managed to successfully argue that the proposed changes will assist in keeping the site as a whole viable and therefore contribute towards securing the long-term conservation of the listing buildings and the site.
